Description
I am the 3rd owner of this Fiat Coupe and I bought the car in May 2024. The previous owner had owned it for 5 years and had done hardly any mileage. He was hoping to keep it as a long-term classic but then his plans changed. Since I bought it, I have resolved a number of issues, mainly electrical but also have had the belts replaced, fitted - where needed - new brake discs, pads and callipers, fitted four new premium Vredestein all season tyres and waxed the car. I have also replaced the original Clarion radio with a Pioneer Bluetooth radio. I have kept the original radio which was in good working order, so it can be swapped back if needed.
I have evidence (invoices from 1st owner showing mileage at services) to demonstrate that the mileage is genuine. I have quite a lot of paperwork, old invoices, instruction manual, service book showing service history back to 2003.
I have also had a service and a new MOT done in August which passed without any advisories. The MOT is now valid until 28th August 2025.
There are a few remaining issues that I am aware of, but you can live with them, namely - the back window washer is not working as it should (the nozzle may be blocked, as the motor still works and pumps water along the pipe but it leaks a small amount of water into the boot rather than coming out of the nozzle, if you use it - so I just don't use it); the central locking does not work (but the doors lock just fine with the key); the 12V socket does not work (mitigated by the installation of the Bluetooth radio as this has a USB charging socket, so a phone can still be charged) and the sunroof frame holding the glass is rusting and will need attention at some point in the future, whether painting with a rust preventative or replacement. I have found a Fiat Coupe specialist who is able to replace when needed.
I also have a set of 15" original Coupe wheels with Pirelli P6000 tyres on them. The alloy wheels came originally with the car. The last owner wanted to put 16" LE spec alloy wheels on it. Apart from the 16" LE spec wheels and the radio the car is original and unmodified.
I am looking to sell the car because I have come to realise that it is not going to be practical enough to go to Uni with and is perhaps more of a collectors car than an everyday car.
Please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you. This car is a rare modern classic because it has a 2. 0 litre 16 valve engine which were derived from the Lancia Delta Integrale and so make it much more collectible and rare compared to the 2. 0 litre 20 valve models.
There are only 20 currently taxed and running on UK roads, according to DVLA records.
The pininfarina design has led some to comment that it has similar looks to a Ferrari.
