I have decided to sell my lovely old Mercedes 240 Diesel 4 speed manual. Tax and Mot exempt although car is mot'd until August 2025. I've owned the car nearly 4 years and have just removed my private number plate and refitted the original number DLB 46Y. First registered in the UK in January 1983 but originally bought in Belgium in 1981 to full UK specification. 2 previous owners both owned the car for 20 years each. Apx 25 years ago it underwent a full professional respray from Blue to White the car was stripped of all trim etc but for some reason the engine bay was never painted I had planned to do this but never did get around to it. Mechanically superb with excellent oil pressure and water temperature engine is barely run in at 218000 miles. At 200000 miles a new timing chain and clutch kit was fitted. I would jump in this old car and drive anywhere and I mean anywhere. A lovely comfortable car with no squeaks bumps or rattles etc. Interior is all original and in excellent condition only the plastic dashboard has the typical cracking that these cars are prone to. Apart from one small area on the drivers side front floor that has been repaired/ welded properly the rest of the underside is original with no rot or welding repairs underneath is superb. Bodywork/ paint in general is very good with only a couple of very small rust bubbles that are still covered in paint these were like that when I bought the car and haven't got any worse in 4 years. Lots of paperwork/ history and a few spare parts. Power steering, x5 Interior seat belts, modern stereo with aux plug. Ready to jump in and drive anywhere, excellent
