Beautiful Classic Moto Guzzi Collection being sold as a lot of two bikes.

Being sold from my private collection of Classic Italian Motorcycles, as I have ultimately made the decision to sell off my entire collection inventory, including my Moto Guzzi Collection.

After many years of actively collecting and enjoying a multitude of classic Moto Guzzi’s, I have decided to list my entire collection to be sold as a lot to a single buyer.
The collection on offer comprises of the following models;

1978 Moto Guzzi V50 500CC V Twin.
1981 Moto Guzzi 1000SP V Twin.

Both Guzzi’s are in immaculate condition, totally unmolested and presented in flawless aesthetic order.
Accident and rust free, mechanically superb, these bikes, offer the Italian motorbike connoisseur, the opportunity of immediate ownership of two very rare and highly acclaimed V Twin cruising machines.
There is a very active Moto Guzzi owners clubs in the UK and Europe, with spare parts and technical experts are adding another dimension to the ownership experience. 1978 V50 500CC;

The V50 is in glorious all-round condition, I am the second owner, the first owner having been an Italian expat, living in South Africa. He purchased the Guzzi new in Europe and brought it with to SA.
I was fortunate to procure the bike, as it was in excellent original condition.
I wanted the Guzzi to be like a new bike, so in 2023 the V50 underwent a comprehensive restoration, the work was done by a Moto Guzzi factory trained technician. As a result, the bike is genuinely as good as new, if not better.
Used sparingly since, and has just been run in.

Work completed on the V50;
• Full engine and gearbox rebuild (all new parts imported ex UK)
• New clutch
• New hydraulics
• New cables
• New Pirelli tyres
• Carburettors fully rebuilt and tuned.
• New chain and sprockets
• New brakes
• New battery
• All trim polished and powder coated
• Paint professionally refinished

The V50 starts on the button and is as smooth as silk, an ideal choice for continental touring, also a great bike for daily commuting.

Included with the V50 is an original Moto Guzzi visor and a container full of additional spare parts.

1981 Moto Guzzi 1000SP 1000CC V Twin;

A one owner bike in perfect original condition. Supplied new in 1981 by Moto Guzzi in Johannesburg to a Mr Du Randt, from whom I purchased the bike a few years ago.
Having been actively searching for a 1000SP Guzzi, for a very long time, without much luck, I was ready to give up the dream. A fellow Moto Guzzi enthusiast was out on a run and was approached by a gentleman whom was busy admiring his Guzzi, whilst he was having a coffee inside.
This gent, was Mr Boeta Du Randt, and he also had a Guzzi parked in his garage at home, the rest as they say is history. I went to fetch the bike with great expectation, and rightly so, the SP was glorious, and it was love at first sight.
Cared for by a mature owner, the SP rides like a dream, it has immense power and what I believe to be the best sound from any bike, the V Twin sings. Yet it can run as smoothly as a sewing machine at full throttle.

Free of any rot or corrosion, the 1000SP is an unrestored bike, it is just as it left the factory in 1981.
Included in the sale is a full fairing and visor kit which add another exciting dimension to the bikes aspirations as grand tourer.

Recent work completed on the 1000SP;
• Major service
• Full tune up
• Carburettors rebuilt
• New battery

The 1000SP starts on the button and is as smooth as silk, it is an immense motorcycle and not one for an inexperienced rider, the ideal choice for trans-continental touring, also a great bike for daily commuting.

An opportunity to acquire two perfect bikes from a single and dedicated owner, does not present itself too often, and is worth serious consideration.
