Capots Vintage, a specialist in prestige and sports cars in Lyon, is offering for sale a 1993 Porsche 928 GTS. With the 924, 928, 944 and 968 models, Porsche marked a turning point in its engineering by introducing front engines, unlike the majority of its rear-engined vehicles. The 928, designed to combine sporting performance with long-distance comfort, became a benchmark. The 928 GTS appeared in the early 1990s and was the first Porsche to carry the beautiful 'GTS' badge, symbolising sportiness and refinement. Our version is a German origin (C00), equipped with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Already considered a true collector's item, our model comes in Midnight Blue Metallic (L37W) with grey leather interior. With 219, 000 km on the clock, this 928 benefited from a complete engine rebuild in 2005 at 141, 000 km by a Porsche dealer; the engine has therefore only covered 78, 000 km since this rebuild. Its last owner kept it for 20 years and always had it serviced at Porsche centres. We have its original service book, which shows that it was delivered new to the Darmstadt Porsche dealership on 25/ 11/ 1993. Its mileage is justified by the presence of the original logbook and numerous service invoices. Options include air conditioning, heated seats for driver and passenger, Symphony RDS radio system with telephone, electric sunroof and draped leather seat covers.
