Description
If you are in the market for a 190E then you are likely already aware of how wonderful these cars are. This one is no exception and although she isn't perfect cosmetically, she is in overall great condition and would suit someone who enjoys a bit of tinkering. The only reason I am selling is in order to free up funds for other projects. The car is a gorgeous specification including the desirable five speed manual gearbox, A/ c, long range fuel tank and full leather with heated orthopaedic seats. This striking 190E can be an ideal light project over the winter or a trusty daily driver. Sadly there isn't much history, but I have collated a small folder of invoices. Recent projects undertaken by myself and my father include rebuilding the SLS pump and replacing the speedo cable and clutch master and slave cylinders (you are welcome !). The car just received a fresh MOT with no advisories. The pueblo beige paint and iconic 190E lines turn heads wherever she goes. I went to look at this car at the end of covid lockdowns and realised very quickly how solid she is. I mean it when I say this car is almost 100% rust free which is unusual these days. This car represents the end of an era of exceptionally well engineered Mercedes and, sadly, the start of the age of built in obsolescence. If you are looking for a beautiful and usable classic that will surely make a solid investment for years to come, get in touch and come take a look over a cuppa.
