Description
Stunning and rare Alien Green colour (1 of 55 sold in the UK), with factory Cup pack option and Speedline Cup wheels. All four tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 5 fitted this year with hardly any usage.
The body work is excellent, and the paint finish overall still looks amazing. One you have to see in real life to appreciate with the multi-layered factory finish creating a liquid gloss look. The steering wheel has been professionally refurbished with new leather and yellow stitching.
The interior is also in great condition, with hardly a mark anywhere to be found. The full leather seating option has held up really well, including the drivers bolster. Considering the materials used by Renault of this era, it's amazing how well it presents still. The progression from the generations before are really noticeably improved.
The car has been lowered on Cooksport springs, fitted in 2022 when the rear shock absorbers were replaced with OE new ones. The ride is firm, but so planted. And on the Cup wheels the stance looks really good.
The all important dephasher cambelt service was carried out as part of a major service in 2022. Resently it's had new front OE Brembo discs and pads fitted, along with a full brake bleed and new fluid.
There is well documented service and maintenance paperwork for the 4 years I've owned it, but not a huge deal before that apart from some service stamps in the book.
Bad bits:
The rear passenger side bumper has some marks that have been touched up, but the touch up paint is never going to match well so that would benefit a proper respray if you're looking for perfection.
The air con doesn't work, never looked into it to see if a re-gas would solve it or not. The headunit has been replaced for one without a peeling fascia, but some of the memory function buttons don't work
There's only one key, which is the keyless entry key card.
All in all, a nicely usable example in the coolest colour of the generation (in my opinion), and ready to be enjoyed as Renault Sport cars should. Alien Green is personally my favourite colour for this model, and one of my all time favourite colours for any car. In person it looks brilliant, with multi layers creating a unique liquid-like shade in different lights.
Being a Renault Sport model it's so involving and fun to drive, it encourages bad behaviour by being so up for it. It's an experience just to drive it down your favourite roads.
Compared to my Clio 182 model, the RS200 is more refined with a more comfortable seating position. Yet it's chassis setup and control are so tactile still. A kind of Goldilocks of both the older raw models, and more modern hot hatches.
