Owned by me since 2016. Restored by the previous mechanic owner for his wife who did not like driving it. Stored indoors for a number of years prior to me purchasing her, and has been dry stored by me while not in use.
Overall good condition. Tax and MOT exempt. Comes with workshop manuals and a mountain of paperwork/ receipts. V5 in my name.
Paintwork is mostly good with some minor scuffs, blisters, cracks and chips. Previous respray in I think BL Vermillion Red. Good brightwork, bumpers and Wolfrace slotmag wheels. Sound chassis that has had previous work on outriggers/ jacking points. Tow bar with electrics present but not tested.
Seats and headlining are in good condition, but could do with a clean, however, show no rips, sags or missing buttons. The dashtop is straight with no cracks or distortion. Carpets could do with replacing as they are frayed and faded in places. Comes with a good load bay cover in the correct colour.
PAS, electric windows, Jaguar XJS electric mirrors. Period radio/ cassette and electronic aerial in situ but not wired in. Work done, parts replaced during my ownership:
• Uprated cooling system with expansion tank and larger fan with manual override, Samco silicone hoses and stainless-steel pipework.
• Graham Walker supplied stainless steal exhaust front to back with tubular manifolds which have been wrapped.
• Uprated alternator and high torque starter motor.
• Luminition electronic ignition.
• Manual choke conversion.
• SU type fuel pump in place of the original mechanical item.
• Upgraded intermittent front wipers.
• Large capacity battery.
• Headlamps replaced with bulb type.
• Partly polybushed front suspension and parts supplied finish off and to do the rear.
Will be supplied with my parts stash which include, among other things:
• A number of spare Wolfrace wheels.
• Various electrical items including dash switches, correct column stalks and original sealed beam headlamps.
• Body coloured headlamp surrounds.
• Original drivers side door mirror.
• Rear corner trims.
A much-loved family member that used to get taken to lots of local car shows but sadly no longer gets used. She even featured in a car show organised by Car SOS! She pulls well and there are no known issues with the gearbox, steering or brakes.
I would recommend trailer collection and a thorough service before driving any distance due to lack of recent use. Located in Biddulph, Staffs.
