1975N Daimler Sovereign Series 2 LWB 4. 2 Automatic, Finished in Sable Brown with Tan Leather Interior.
This was my father’s car, sadly due to his passing we are now selling the car.
The car is showing 36, 000 miles and when purchased was believed to be genuine but been an old classic car this cannot be verified so please make your own assumptions.
The car has undergone a lot of refurbishment both externally and internally, the car is a 90% original panelled car only ever having a small amount of welding, the car has had under the wheel arch raptor protected and painted in sable brown, also externally, new fuel filler cap gaskets were fitted, new chrome rear exhaust tail pipes, and new period correct number plates fitted.
The interior has had the headlining refurbished as it had suffered from the usual Jaguar trait of sagging headlining and was showing its age so this has been replaced and refitted professionally. The seats have been thoroughly cleaned, the leather has had feed treatment to make supple and fresh again.
Mechanically the car due to been sitting a long time before my father purchased the car has been thoroughly inspected, the engine though running was in need of some tlc, the carburettors were overhauled, new fuel pump fitted, new spark plugs, new rotor arm, oil and filter change, new air filter, new fuel filter, new rocker cover gaskets, new sump gasket, new fuel lines, new radiator water hose kit, fresh anti freeze, new expansion tank fitted, the gearbox has had a service with fresh oil and new oil sump pan gasket, new engine heater control valve, new alternator fitted, etc etc, under the bonnet has also been all detailed and cleaned and parts polished and powder coated, anti-roll bar bushes replaced, and new front subframe bushes.
The car has had £100’s and £100’s spent on the car not including the amount of time over the years while with my father has owned the car and was just finished when sadly he passed away, it is with a heavy heart that we are selling the car but it is just a constant reminder of him, and sadly will not be used and appreciated like he would have, and we are sure he would want someone else to enjoy and use the car like he would have.
The car has been sat a couple of years in storage now since my fathers passing so will probably require new tyres but apart from that it is ready to drive and enjoy.
This car needs to be viewed to be fully appreciated for the work that has gone into making this car what it is today.
