I purchased the car in 2021 then a full re-commission was completed
To include polly bushes fitted all round all new rubber hoses fitted wax oiled all electrics checked out new coil and control box fitted full engine tune on the rolling road 5 wheels stove enamelled 5 new Michelin XZX
period tyres fitted with Michelin inner tubes and period valves radiomobile period radio has been fitted the work was completed by Butlin and Sons Swadlincote South Derbyshire and myself.
In addition the car has a current MOT certificate with no advisories.
This car is a fine example of the Marque both the paintwork and interior are in beautiful condition and the panel fit is excellent the engine bay is also first class it has a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate and has won trophies at the many classic car shows I enter and is admired wherever i go the addition of the 5 speed Hi-Gear up grade makes this car a pleasure to drive. Manufactured in Abingdon 10/ 04/ 56-12/ 04/ 56 a commission build for a clergyman living in Rhodesia used sparingly for parish duties returned to the UK in 1995 an age related Reg Number was applied for and the D. V. L. A. issued the number RSJ 234.
The car was sold in 2005 showing an odometer reading of 17, 339 miles to classic car enthusiast Les Jones he decided to embark on a comprehensive refurbishment including a complete engine overhaul and unleaded fuel conversion plus installing the 5 speed Hi-Gear upgrade and 1 1/ 2 inch twin SU Carbs fitted and a stainless steel exhaust followed by a full engine tune.
There was then a top quality re-spray done followed by the fitting of new beautiful green leather upholstery and new head lining. The car was inherited by the son of Les Chris Jones, he used it sparingly for a couple of years then sold it to Mr Derek Hatton another Welshman from Abergavenny it was again used sparingly for classic car shows in Wales
