Description

I have decided to sell off some cars and the reluctantly this is one of them.

A super rare BMW E28 Alpina B10 M535i.

There were 69 B9 Alpina's produced in the UK, there were only 70 B10 Alpina's produced world wide of which approx 27 were allocated to the UK market. Approx 50% of these cars are now left.

The B9 Alpina's were based on the BMW 528i, the B10 Alpina were based on the 535i, so the options were either the BMW Motorsport bodykit, known as Mtec, in which they were known as the B10 M535i or the Alpina spec, which included alpina stripe seats and front spoiler, known as the B10 535i if you didn't.

Of the 27 cars, maybe fewer as there is little information about the exact number made, there were only 3 in the Polaris Silver, and 2 are missing in action, making this the only one in this colour.

To make this even rare, there were only 9 cars made to a M535i specification.

The difference between M spec ( BMW Motorsport) and Alpina spec, is that the M spec is the BMW sports seats, Mtec Body Kit, No Alpina Stripes.

The Alpina spec is Alpina seats and cloth, Alpina front spoiler and optional stripes.

The engine conversation, suspension etc was the same, ie the full Alpina conversation done at the Sytner Workshop in Nottingham.

Finally, the there was the manual or auto box. Autos were becoming really popular in the 1980's, and continued so throughout the years and now virtually all cars are auto today, which makes it easier with the amount of traffic on the roads today.

I have manage to compile a list of remaining B10 cars left, is not 100% accurate, but it's a list of what spec the car came with etc.

So I have an Alpina B10 M535i, Polaris Silver, Auto, Full service history with mileage at 119k, Black leather sports seats and black leather door cards. All original that came with the car when ordered new from Sytner.

This car is an unmolested car, which has never been restored or messed with.

I purchased it in 2018 with the engine not working, I have completely had the engine refurbished, all running gear refurbished, the gearbox refurbished and the engine bay repainted. So it all works, drives and has an MOT. I fitted a stainless exhaust and it sounds fantastic when it starts up and runs. Its has an MOT so it can be driven away.

The side skirts arent on the car at the moment, but are included in the sale.

The only job that this car needs is a repaint.

Its a truly amazing and wonderfully rare car, which can only go up in value, especially as its Alpina's 60th anniversary year next year.

So why am I selling, Ive got another B10 for one, a manual, but with higher mileage, and ive got too many other projects that arent finished, so I need a clear out. For anyone wanting a 1980's BMW, that has the same performance as an E28 M5, for half the price, then this is for them.
From the smile on your face when the car starts up to the joy of driving this along the country lanes or cruising down the motorway to the new classic car show.
Perfect interior and driving position, in an unmolested car, totally original through out.
But the new owner will also have the privilege that this is a super rare car with racing pedigree. A true 1980's super star.
