Description
Rare UK car originally from the Isle of Wight.
Dry stored for 23 years before we bought it in January 2024.
Chassis has no rot only small section of welding to r/ o/ s sill as seen in pics.
Bodywork good with only one small area requiring attention on boot lid.
There are small patches of patina and rust worm, so envisage new owner may want to re-spray to bring up to better condition.
We recommissioned it to get it on the road, many new parts were bought for this and we have been driving it as a daily driver for the last 6 months until the diaphragms failed a very common failure with the original manufactured part.
It does still drive on one belt so antest drive is possible but we would not recommend driving it any distance so a trailer will be required for collection.
Will need new diaphragms and drive belts fitted and we can give you details of a specialist who is very reasonable to do this if you would like.
Also will need 2 bump stops as the previous owner took them out when he lowered the car. We put it back to standard but have not sourced bump stops as yet.
The car is in really super condition and it will not need much to get it up and running again. Sadly 2 other projects have taken storage priority and so the Volvo is looking for a new home.
We have the original bumpers which were taken off by previous owner, we didn’t bother fitting them.
Interior in really excellent condition, original stereo did not work so replaced with a retro digital one.
2 owner family car, then bought by the guy we bought it off.
Registered as MOT and Tax exempt.
Viewing highly recommended to appreciate the amazing condition of this rare 46 year old car.
