The RD400 is a UK bike from new, matching numbers, 9 owners, I have owned it about 2, 5 years, lots done a lot to her full top end off new gaskets bores small ends rings all looked very good previous long term owner said he had rebored and new pistons but I have no proof its 2nd over size, wheels are A1 mint new tyres bearings everything done front and rear, full carb strip rebuild all new internals balance, points ignition timing set starts 1st 2nd kick, I'm running some 2 stroke oil in the tank to be on the safe side, all new oil and fuel lines, paint is good for a non pro job but the stickers are wrong I think I'm not an rd expert, tank not lined no leaks and very clean inside, all brakes calipers cylinders stripped new parts fitted receipts all shown, next in my list to do next the seat seems to be from the C version and needs refurb or changing for the correct D seat , down pipes are new, silencers are good one baffle stuck, a full road test and detailed clean all over, non correct front brake lever, so that's about it will be a nice bike for someone when all done but I think most of the hard work is done been fun so far and I hope in this very odd economic time I have priced fairly Spare very good wheels and some down pipes needing refurbishment also supplied
