Description
The car is registered on Spanish Historic plates since I purchased it in 2004 and imported it from the UK.
Under the bonnet. Has recently undergone restoration. Engine has been totally rebuilt and has since done 1000kms. Autogear box has also been totally rebuilt at the same time. Radiator rebored and new coupling installed. Servo has also been replaced with an exchange unit. Electronic ignition, new plugs, leads, and distributor cap. The two SU Carbs have been rebuilt utilising SU kit that is resistant to the modern petrol. The petrol tank has been taken off and cleaned out, but did not need any rust proof treatment as it was in excellent condition. New SU petrol pump has also been installed. A new set of tyres installed at the same time.
The interior has the original Axminister and Wilton carpets and the seats are in new leather that replaced the worn out original seats. Door cards replaced.
Faults. Blemish on the paintwork on rear left hand door. Front and rear bumpers will need chroming as will some of the chrome trimwork. The rev counter and clock do not work and needle on the speedometer bounces at 50 mph onwards. The car has been with me for now 20 years but my health doesn´t allow me to enjoy motoring to the fullest. It is at present very close to how it came out of the factory in 1969 and hopefully will give another 50 years of motoring.
