Description
This stunning classic two door range rover is a Suffix C car exported to South Africa as a CKD knockdown model, in 1975 but not registered until 1982. As a result it was registered by DVLA as a 1982 car when imported a few years ago by the previous owner.
I have enjoyed the car for the last two years making small improvements, refurbishing the steel wheels amongst other things.
It runs beautifully and is a hoot to drive. I've just been on a 500mile round trip to the Bicester Scramble where it was admired by many.
The previous owner made a fantastic job of painting the car, it really is a stunning paint finish. The car is not a restored model, the chassis is well protected with a suitable paint, and I can see no rust. It sailed through an MOT last year and I'll obtain a new one as soon as I am able for the new owner.
Engine seems tight and there is no oil use or smoke etc.
Interior has been retrimmed, and could be restored of course, but it has been done well with decent fabric etc, the headlining is perfect.
Also it has air conditioning fitted, a cassette unit which fits where the glove box would normally be. This was working when I bought the car, but I think lack of use has led to is failing. The pipes and compressor all look quite new so I will arrange to get it regassed for the new owner.
