- Rare gated manual
- Full service history
- One of only 90 examples ever built
The Ferrari F430 made its debut in 2004 at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris. Its silhouette is reminiscent of its predecessor, the Ferrari 360, but the F430 brings much more than just looks. Under the hood lies a powerful 4. 3-liter V8 engine, strategically placed behind the driver for perfect weight balance. With an impressive 490 hp, 465 Nm of torque and a redline on the tachometer of a whopping 8500 rpm, the F430 is a spectacle on wheels.
This F430 is special because it is one of the very last Ferrari models that came with a traditional manual transmission. As the automotive world, and Ferrari in particular, moved to automatic and robotic transmissions, manual models became increasingly rare. About 14, 000 of the F430 were produced, but the manual version is extremely rare: only 90 of F430s worldwide were sold with a manual transmission, making this car not only one of the rarest modern Ferraris but also one of the most collectible.
This stunning example in Scuderia Rosso was delivered to its first owner in Suresnes, France in 2005. The car was tastefully composed with a beautiful black leather interior, matching red brake calipers (which perfectly match the Scuderia Rosso paint), alloy pedals, radio, leather headliner and, of course, the sought-after metal gated shifter. This F430 has been driving in Belgium since 2007 and has always been meticulously maintained at an official Ferrari dealer. No expense was spared to keep this car in top condition. According to the original and fully stamped service booklet, this F430 was sent for a check-up at least every 5000km!
Driving this Ferrari F430 is more accessible than you might think. The position behind the wheel feels perfect, the manual transmission shifts lubricated, and the handling is downright impressive. The controls are light, making driving feel comfortable, and the clutch engages softly and smoothly without jerking. Steering feels easy and direct, almost as if the Ferrari can read your mind. The sound produced by this machine cannot possibly be called noise, but rather a symphony of pistons, valves and fuel, which together create an unforgettable driving experience.
This Ferrari with 3 pedals is a true swan song of a generation, and at the same time one of the first examples for Ferraris that followed in the future. This F430 is a great car that takes driving experience to the next level; a stunning silhouette, spirited mid-engine behind the driver, a fantastic palette of sound throughout the rev range and, as icing on the cake, the stunning manual gated shifter - of which only a handful were made.
