1963 Chevrolet Impala

1963 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan. Lowrider.
Pillarless four door.
Factory Aqua Azure colour with blue interior. Interior is very tidy for the age, everything works, engraved dash trim and switch panel, Bluetooth radio hidden in the glovebox and has rear shelf mounted speakers and a sub box in the boot.
The paint is very presentable for its age but does have age related marks. The roof is lace painted and the bumpers are painted metal flake.
Original 283 V8 with Powerglide trans. Edelbrock alloy intake with Edelbrock AVS2 four barrel carb and aftermarket stainless exhaust.
Full hydraulic suspension set up running 3 pumps and 10 batteries which allows the car to three wheel and hop.
Most of the frame has been reinforced with 6mm steel. The suspension arms are reinforced and running Hi-Lock front ball joints and uprated lower ones.
The wheels are 13x7 reverse, 72 spoke chrome wheels with centre knock on’s and are in very good condition as the car is kept indoors. The tyres are in good condition also.
Outside the car has engraved door handles, knuckle guards and half moon headlight covers. The headlights have been converted to a modern bulb with modern relays and the alternator has been upgraded to a power master 100amp. The rear lights have been LED converted and all three illuminate for sides, brakes and indicators.
The car came over in 1967 and was given an ‘as new’ registration which is why it’s on E plate. It was believed to have been in storage for a long time but I don’t really know much about the history.
I’ve had the car for just under two years and built it from a pretty standard car to what it is now, it’s clean for its age underneath and we haven’t come across any major rust.
The car has been regularly serviced for oil and filters regardless of miles covered and the box oil and diff oil have been done within the last 500 miles. The car is stored in a dry unit.

Only selling as I fancy a change and not 100% sure what I’d like next. I bought the car as I wanted a lowrider. There isn’t a more iconic car than a 60’s impala. Specifically the 63 and 64 which were heavily featured in 90’s hip hop, rap and movies / music videos.
The car looks great, and wherever you go it gets attention from people of all ages and it gets nothing but positive comments.
It’s very usable as it’s a 6 seater and even with the suspension set up it still has decent boot space. It’s not really that bad on fuel which everyone seems to think they are and we have covered around 5k in it in the last 18 months or so.
It stands out with the details like the door handles and the dashboard engraving, people say wherever they look they see more detail. Also it’s a great colour when the sun hits it and was very popular in its day and still looks good now.
