Description
Here is my Ferrari 308 GTB Vetroresina. It is a Euro spec dry sump car and LHD.
It is a road-legal race car which I raced in the HSCC 70's Roadsports series from 2007 to 2019.
The rules are quite tight on what you can modify but it has a rollcage, race seat, harness, fire extinguisher and ignition cut-out
Mechanically it has an engine built by QV who are one of the best experts in these engines. It was dyno'd at 295 hp and isn't very peaky. It has high compression pistons, is overbored, has racier cams, titanium rods, balanced, lightened flywheel and a twin plate clutch (quite sharp).
It also has uprated pads (but not discs/ callipers as rules don't permit), stiffer springs, adjustable spring platforms and Toyo tyres.
It has just been back to QV to have the clutch changed and a number of other jobs, I spent about 8k on it. It has a standard passenger seat with harnesses and I have the other front seat and a few bits and bobs.
It is wonderful fun on the road or track. I am thinking of selling because we have eight Italian cars and perhaps that is one, or even two, too many. It comes with reams of receipts covering my ownership. The car is Euro spec.
It is a car that has been used and raced, so cosmetically it could be tidied up a bit but obviously that doesn't impact the function.
There is a nice video on Jayemm on cars where you can see the car in action.
I'm looking for circa £85k.
It has been mentioned that this could be a good base for a Gr 4 / FIA car.
