Description
This Is A Genuine 1980 MGB Roadster LE, One of A Thousand Limited Edition Cars Built At The End Of Production At The Abingdon Factory. Only 420 Were Roadsters And Only A Few Of These Were Fitted With Factory Wire Wheels Like This Example. It Is A Matching Numbers Car With It's Original Engine Which Is Quite Rare As There Was A Time period Where It Was Cheaper To Replace Than Rebuild! Overdrive Works Perfect, It Is Registered As A Historic Vehicle So Is Tax And Mot Exempt, Although I Have Continued A Yearly MOT As That's My Preference. There Is A Large File Of History Including The Original Bill Of Sale From "Hartwells" Of Oxford Ltd. Comes With It's Heritage Certificate From The MGB Jubilee And Le Owners Club Confirming It's Chassis Vin And Engine Number which Highlights it is Chassis number 132 of the 420 Roadsters Built. Originally Metallic Bronze In Colour as per the picture I added as an example, it has at some point been re-sprayed black which does suit it but is an older Change and I feel Now's the right time to return to it's original colour. The Body Is Solid And In The Past The Sills Have Been Professionally Replaced With Invoices Etc, Probably At The Same Time As Repaint. There Are No Weld Patches On This Car! The History, Mot, Invoices And Certificates File Is Telephone Directory Thick! Does Come With Some Spares And Two New Tyres. This Car Has A Solid Body, Very Good Interior And Engine With An Extensive History And can Be Readily Enjoyed As It Is, If I Had The Time I Would Return It To It's Original Colour And Decals Which Are Available, I Have No Doubts That Anybody Who Does This Will Add Far More Value To The Car Than What It Would Cost and Added To The Fact These Models Are Now Appreciating Well It Will Make A Fantastic Project To Improve.
Any Viewing Or Inspection Welcome.
