Here we have my 2005 Porsche 987 Boxster S 3. 2 manual, finished in Seal Grey. Owned and cherished by me since March 2018. Being an early car it benefits from the lower rate of road tax, and was specified from new with leather interior, heated seats, 19" Carrera S alloys, Sports Chrono pack, auto dimming mirrors, Bose audio and Xenon lights.
The car comes with a full and comprehensive service history comprising of its original handbook pack including a fully stamped service record book, along with invoices to back up the stamps. Initially the car was cared for by Porsche Swindon, before Autofarm, a renowned Porsche specialist were entrusted to look after it. As well as servicing they also replaced the IMS bearing with an upgraded unit from LN engineering. All of this work is documented, the huge history file was one of the things that attracted me when i purchased it - it even has the original boxed brochure pack from the supplying dealer Porsche Silverstone, and the sales invoice from Porsche Swindon who supplied it to its second custodian.
Not long after purchase i replaced the front brakes with genuine Brembo items, and then booked the car in with Autofarm for main service, gearbox oil change etc etc as i wanted to make sure all was well. The previous owner had the car serviced by a german specialist, but i chose to go back to Autofarm early as i like things to be right.
The car was next due a service in 2020 but due to lockdowns and not using the car, i waited until 2021 and booked the car in with Cotswold Porsche due to lots of recommendations from other Porsche owners about Lee and his business. After completing the service they also replaced the front drop links and coffin arms. The car has covered less than 800 miles since this, and would be due a service on time only. The car is mot'd until June 2025.
The car had also had it's a/ c refreshed by the previous owner, including new condensers, and Zunsport grills added to protect them going forwards. I have fitted 4 n rated Michelins, the rears have covered less than 2000 miles, and the fronts half that. It also has a valved top gear exhaust system, switchable via a fob so you can have it closed ( a little fruitier than standard or open when you can really appreciate the glorious note of the flat 6!)
The car really does present very well, and is ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian. I am only selling it to make way for another Boxster, and i will genuinely be sad to see her go. Please call me if you wish to chat about the car.
