Here for sale is a totally original, unmolested BSA 500 Royal Star twin.
Exported to Italy from new and with KMH speedometer.
Provenance certificate from the BSA owner’s club.
The previous owner owned for 25 years and imported from Italy in 2012.
Worried by not declaring NOVA, he kept it until he saw my 850 Ducati Trail bike for sale, and we did a swap.
I have cleaned the carb and cleaned and sealed the tank as well as replacing fuel lines and air-filter.
My idea was to keep it as original as possible, only changing essential parts for safety and reliability.
But I was gifted a Commando so, that will be my Brit bike and, the BSA is now for sale.
I did start it when I first had it but it’s currently a non-runner as the fuel tank sealer contaminated the brass petrol tap threads in the tank and will need to be replaced. No damage to the tank just needs new inserts.
