Mercedes Benz - SL 55 AMG - 2006 (06) Facelift model (517PS) Finished in Pearlescent Obsidian Black with contrast Alpaca Grey Leather and Carbon Fibre trim. Last of the "proper" old school AMG's with the famous M113K Supercharged V8 Engine and the unmistakable deep AMG soundtrack!
It took me over a year to find this very car back in 2019 / 2020 when searching as I wanted the perfect example and I have only added and improved to the fastidious history of this car during my 4 years of ownership. It has been garaged all of its life and rarely used in wet weather and never driven in the winter months.
The car comes with a genuine silver arrows AMG indoor car cover and carry bag, a rare find these days! It also comes with a brand new set of floor mats. The car is in superb condition having benefited from a full professional detail both inside and out plus a ceramic coating when I took ownership.
It benefits from a full service history regardless of the mileage covered. I personally have had 3 services (x2 A and x1 B) carried out in my ownership plus plenty of other maintenance such as; 5G Tronic Gearbox service, ABC suspension re-calibration and rodeo test, tyres, brakes lines, pads, both consumer and starter batteries - all genuine Mercedes Benz OEM parts - All backed up in a thick document folder with all the original booklets etc, both remote keys.
The extras alone on this car consist of: Adaptive radar cruise control (Distronic Plus), Panoramic glass roof, keyless entry and push button start, carbon fibre interior trim, heated and cooled massage multi-contour electric seats, 19" AMG 5 Spoke alloys fitted with factory correct Continental Sport Tyres.
The car has never failed an MOT in its lifetime and never seen advisories within my ownership, to say I am fussy when it comes to my cars is putting it mildly!
Being a facelift car this benefits from the 2nd generation of the ABC suspension which is way more reliable than the 1st generation. Other facelift benefits are; improved throttle body, aluminium paddle shifters, softer leather, revised centre console, improved rubber boot seals, improved wiring harness and larger 6 piston brake calipers.
Last service carried out in Feb 2024 at 43000 miles - Next service not due until Feb 2026 or 53000 miles. Recently MOT’d with a clean pass - Next MOT due June 2025.
I really did not think I would ever be writing this advert as having had several Mercedes SL’s over the years I thought this one would be my forever weekend/ summer car but here we are, it’s time for someone else to enjoy! In the words of Harry Metcalfe (EVO/ Harrys Garage) "Go find another!"
