ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY STAR - PUD920 - 1960
PUD is a true survivor, one of about 60 UK runners left of the 902 saloons made.
A true 1960’s gentleman’s luxury carriage.
Generally in good condition and very original.
Runs and drives well. Engine, gearbox, power steering and brakes all working well.
Takes unleaded fuel.
Bodywork was restored about 10 years ago, date not known. Signs of rust up close but nothing major, the roof has some surface crazing.
Interior. Seats in good condition, drivers seat shows signs of wear but is original. Headlining, nearly perfect, no stains. Carpet, serviceable, needs refitting.
Wood trim. Generally good, dash top needs work.
Controls. All controls and dials work. Heater front and rear not connected.
Recent mechanical works, over the last five years.
Rewired, power steering, carbs, coil and distributor. Rear leaf springs, shocks and brakes. Front suspension rubbers, anti-roll bar, and shocks. Full exhaust system. Both engine mounts, hoses, wiper motor, speedo drive cable and battery. Brake master cylinder and servo. Clock converted to battery. Head gasket replaced and head skimmed, all new exhaust studs.

Twin Zenith carburettors, recently overhauled. Type 42. WIA
Three speed Borg Warner automatic gearbox with variable second gear hold.
Burman power steering box, recently overhauled, with Hobourn Eaton pump. All hoses hydraulic replaced.
Brakes, power assisted. Front discs, Girling, 11. 82” dia. Rear Girling drums. NB Servo replaced by modern as originals unobtainable. New master cylinder.
Distributor, Lucas 406650A from Distributor Doctor. Points and condenser type, as originally fitted.
Has an auxiliary electric fan.
Comes with a full toolkit 100%, new rubber liner, original jack and spare wheel.
