Offered for sale or or swap/ px is my 2000 Subaru Forester. I purchased it earlier this year with the intention to drop the engine into my VW T25, but it's far too nice for that and I can't bring myself to do so! As such, I don't really have a use for it. I'm interested in swaps/ px deals (cash either way) for modern classic or classic cars, please nothing boring!!
The car is one owner from new before me and has good service history with 2 timing belt changes documented. It runs and drives brilliantly. Its MOT is due in Feb 2025. It's in great condition and appears to be very solid. The interior is very clean and everything works. The AC blows lovely and cold!
It does have marks consummate with age, see photos with the worst. The wheels need a refurb (I have some gold spray paint to do so). The sunroof I was advised not to open as it takes ages to close. The stereo crackles when turning the steering oddly! Runs and drives great but if I'm being super fussy, there's a rattle from the underside, the steering is slightly notchy (will try tighten the belt) and there's a slight wobble under braking.
It genuinely is a lovely car, but I just don't have a use for it. With that being said, I won't entertain any stupidly low offers and am in no rush to sell it. Please no more than 2 viewers at one time, it doesn't take anymore to view a car. I am willing to help out delivering for a fee (cover my time and journey back) but need payment up front. Happy to drive anywhere in the country for a swap/ px deal. I picked the car up from Bicester and it drove back to Yorkshire fine, so confident in taking it on any long journey.
