Homologation limited edition street version of the car Andy Priaulx drove to victory in the 2005 World Touring Car Championship, built in compliance with FIA homologation regulations with BMW-Sauber F1 team support, limited run of 2, 600 cars, 500 released in the UK, very few still on the road. Essentially a 3 Series M Sport special version with N45 higher compression, a custom head with larger valves, large bore/ short stroke engine block, engine red lined at 7, 300 rpm puts out 173 hp at 7, 000 rpm. Carbon-fibre rocker cover.
Touring car front and rear aerodynamic body styling, sports seats with electric adjustable side grips, sports suspension and aluminium interior trim, BMW Motorsport motif alloys.
Full service history with original purchase documents, wad of invoices, etc.. Recent work includes:
- Valve adjustment, with new shims, timing chain tensioner, vanos bolts, PCV valve, hose and servo pipe. Confirmed steel liners, work carried out by Si specialists Element Performance, Thirsk.
- New timing chain, adjuster and sprockets, antiroll bar link/ bushes
-New set of the correct Bosch tri-electrode spark plugs
-Uprated Delphi coils (more heat resistant than Bosch originals)
-Full service with Bosch filters, oil
-New rear shocks and suspension parts, rear brakes replaced 10k miles ago.
-Comes with spare wheel (not space-saver)
I was considering upgrades to the inlet side with Element Performance’s own fittings plus a Stage 1 remap, bumping it put to circa 200 bhp, but best leave it to you. It’s a great car as it is.
