Description
A very early plus 2 from 1967. I have owned the car for 14 years and over this period the following major works were carried out.
The car underwent a change of colour and body restoration the car was left in primer for six months so that the top in old English white was perfect.
The interior was refurbished by D S Thomsett of Cambridge in 2013 and is in excellent condition.
A new wiring loom was fitted by Kersey motors on Cambridge in 2014.
Tony Thompson drive shafts in 2014.
Upgrade from steel rims to Lotus Alloys.
In 2019 the brakes and discs were replaced, together with new Webber carbs by QBCC in Huntingdon.
In November 2020 Craig Beck Racing rebuilt the engine and carried out a full dyno test that shows 121 hp. Craig Beck is renowned for quality engine rebuilds in the racing world. Only 1000miles since engine rebuild.
Many other minor upgrades have been completed over the last ten years.
I have history going back to 1991 which shows that the car has always been cared for.
The car comes with a factory full workshop manual.
Reluctantly for sale of a very reliable classic Lotus that will continue to give driving pleasure and a sound investment.
