For sale is my beloved 1994 Toyota MR2 REV 3 UK Spec manual T-Top finished in Steel Mist Gray.
I’ve owned the car since 2019 and have covered nearly 40k miles with the car. Since purchasing I’ve fitted some desirable extras including half leather turbo suede purple seats, Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay head unit and Fidanza lightened flywheel for great pedal and engine response.
This year the car has benefited from a mechanical overhaul including the following
• New Genuine Toyota Clutch Kit
• 3S-GE Fidanza Lightened Flywheel with ARP Flywheel Bolts – worth £444
• New Rear Main Oil Seal
• New Alternator and belt
• Off Side Shaft Seal on Gearbox
• New Catalytic Converter
• 4 New Bosch Spark Plugs
All this work was completed as I planned to keep the car, however while the work was being completed, I found a MR2 Turbo so this car needs a new home.
Since I purchased the car, a vast amount as been carried out as this was my daily, including the following:
• New Sills fitted in 2020
• Aftermarket Remote Central Locking module
• Front and Rear Anti Roll bar Polybush bushings
• Front drop links
• Braided Brake Lines
• Soft Polybush front and rear engine mounts
• All speakers rewired with dedicated new speaker wire
• New Radiator in 2021 with Silicone Hoses
• Second cooling fan as seen on air con models
• New Fuel Filter fitted
• New Handbrake Cables in 2023
• New Driver’s side window regulator
• Aftermarket stainless steel backbox with bigger tips
• New downpipe and flexi fitted in 2019
The car does have a few things to mention along with a few things to ideally be addressed
• Rust patch on the driver’s side rear outer arch (pictured)
• Small dent on driver’s side wing (pictured)
• Small Oil leak from rocker cover gasket (will come with new genuine Toyota rocker cover gasket)
• Paint in average condition for age, with some bits suffering from discolouration and lacquer peel (pictured)
Also comes with extensive paperwork from before my ownership, car has 243, 000 miles, 2 keys and MOT until 2 April 2025. Car is located in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The car drives amazingly well, with great steering feel and inspiring dynamics on a back road, and with the lightened flywheel the engine is free revving and great fun.
Steel Mist Gray metallic is also in my opinion, one of the best colours for the MR2.
