History
Owned and dry stored by me since 2013. Apparently, according to eBay and another advert on this website, only one of very few in the UK.
No history came with the car but it’s condition shows the care that it has received through it’s life.
Featured in Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine in 2010.
It’s only done local-show mileage over the last 5 years so to be on the safe side, I’d give it a good checking over and an oil change before going any distance. See work needed, below.
Interior
As you can see from the photos, the inside is totally un-molested, original and patinated.
A few stains on the carpet.
Exterior
Polishes up very well. One dent to rear RHS mudguard can probably be removed using paintless system. At some time the bumpers have been painted over although it’s not immediately obvious.
Work carried out by me
New track rods and professional tracking.
During the lockdown I decided to attend to some of the previous advisories and so I welded heavy grade steel where required under driver’s rear wheel arch and front outriggers. Bilt and Hamber waxoil.
Work needed
Rear spring requires replacement. £100 online and easy weekend job with axle stands.

I’ve got 8 other Mercedes including G Wagon and SL500 I just feel like a change.
I’m not listing a price; those who know the value of the car will know it’s worth.

Starting and driving
It starts easily following an unusual method whereby you activate the starter switch and wait for a wire which is part of glow-plug circuit begin to glow behind a metal guard in the dashboard.
Once started, quickly settles into regular tick-over.
Clutch is quite light and first engages fine, pulls off with no thrust washer noise nor judder.
Pulls well but takes it’s time. Slows well on drum brakes.
