Up for sale is my beautifully restored 1971 Honda CB450 K4, a true gem for vintage motorcycle enthusiasts. The Honda CB 450 has a 450 cc twin cylinder engine that introduced a revolutionary double overhead cam engine design to motorcycling of its day and was aimed at taking on the Triumph and BSA twins. Producing 100 bhp / litre, It was relatively expensive and really only sold successfully in the USA, so is a rare bike in the UK. It only shows 7, 300 miles on the mileometer and may well be the only distance it has covered. It is road going and rides well. It is tax exempt and does not require an MOT, being over 50 years old.
This bike was restored starting with a freshly powder coated frame and has been meticulously restored using only original parts and patent components to keep it true to its origins. The only nod to modernism being electronic ignition, although the original ignition components will be supplied with the bike.
For me, it is time to move on, as my creaky bones mean less riding is possible and this very rare model of classic Japanese motorcycling is offered at only £5950.
