Here is my Rover Mini Mayfair. She is a Japanese import so has never experienced road salt before coming to the UK 5 years ago and has only been used during the summer months while in the uk and has been treated with waxoil from day one while over here.
It has recently undergone a full engine/ gearbox rebuild and is in fact still being run in at the time of writing. She has an MOT until April 2025 and has been serviced regularly since coming to the UK. As far as I am aware there was only one owner in japan before being imported but I'm not 100% sure on that. The car was purchased at a northern car import specialist who is selling the same model of car for £12000 but I believe my asking price is far more realistic for such a great car. It has had over £5000 spent on it this year and I don't unfortunately have the time to use the car as it should be used. It is kept garaged when not in use and will make a fantastic investment for someone looking for a sound quality mini at a reasonable price. Reduced from £7000, the road tax expires end of October thereafter there can be no road test as vehicle will be SORN'ed over winter. Since have the engine and gearbox rebuilt, I have been running it in but will still need a couple more hundred before fully using it to its potential,. This is a 1270cc car, very similar to a Cooper and the performance is certainly available in this car and being a Japanese import the bodywork is fantastic for a car this age, its not concour by any means but there won't be many around at this price with original paintwork.
