1989 Ferrari 348 TB - Pre-Production Fiorano Press Car

The car on offer was manufactured on 16th June 1989 before the official production run started. It was first registered to Ferrari SpA under registration MO 84101 as confirmed by ACI (Automobile Club d’Italia). For most of the remainder of the year it was used as a press test car at Fiorano and used extensively for official Ferrari and other press engagements.

Condition:
The condition is described as “completely original”. At purchase photographs showed that even the pre-delivery plastic is still in place. Small signs of normal wear for age and mileage and paintwork was authenticated as factory original.

Accidents and Damage:
The owner attests to the fact that the car has been used sparsely, especially in the last decade and there have been no accidents or damage.

Servicing:
The documentation suggests that services have been performed when required at official service centres, although due to little or no usage for the past ten years, the car would benefit from a full recommissioning. The previous owner, in a state of advanced age and terminally ill health was unable to locate prior servicing information and wanted to have a swift and effortless sales process.

Modifications:
The car has no obvious modifications. The owner was told by the previous vendor that the car had ‘special’ factory issued gearbox and exhaust system, although was only able to confirm this via Ferrari Classiche process. Upgrades had been made for the Fiorano experience but under guidance of Dario Benuzzi and team.

Certification:
Ferrari Classiche certification from Tony Willis of Ferrari in 2016 and Italian Classic Car (ASI) society as Grade II Listed

Owners:
Initially registered and used by Ferrari as a press car. Thereafter 3 private owners in Italy as well as the current UK owner.

Detailed information available and in files with work carried out by specialists including DK Engineering and Marinello Egham

Provenance:
Thorough and detailed provenance has been sourced and is documented from date of production and includes email communications with previous owners and drivers of the vehicle such as Alain Prost and Nestore Morosini as well as the prior owner Federico Domenico.

Miscellaneous:
Included with sale are a multitude of international car magazines, which feature the vehicle as part of the Ferrari marketing campaign. Additionally, the 1989 kit build model of the car inclusive of the MO 824101 registration number
