Selling my lovely VW Golf Mk1 GTi Sportline. Originally a German model which is left hand drive and imported from Germany to the UK and has a total of four owners including me from new. I have been using it out at my house in France which I’m now selling so no use for it sadly.
Full service history from Germany and the UK from new, whilst the Km’s are up it a bit the car has been very well cared for. In the last year I have had a new thermostat, gear linkages, power steering belts, a service and heater motor. Prior to that most recent works are head gasket and cambelt so ready to enjoy.
The hood has been replaced with a black mohair roof and is it superb condition with no leaks. There is no rust I can find and has always been garaged in the last 15 years.
Body work is in good condition with no dents however the corners of all bumpers have been scraped and there is some paint gone on one of the doors from over polishing. The red paint always polishes up well too.

Much easier than a right hand drive model and as this is a Sportline has the lively black BBS alloys and Recaro interior. No electrics including the hood do less to go wrong.
The car is currently located in Normandy so could easily be registered abroad if buyer prefers or I can bring back to Hampshire and will put a fresh MOT on her. The history of this car was why I purchased it. Previous owner had it for over a decade and used in the summer for holidays. The tow bar was fitted by him and only towed a light trailer for camping trips with his children.
Hard to find Sportline looks lovely and the engine is in perfect condition with no oil leaks and hasn’t used any either. I’d happily drive any where in the golf and the seats are very comfortable too.
