Description
Selling my 2006 06 Range Rover L322 4. 2 V8 Supercharged Vogue SE in rare Buckingham Blue (looks black in certain light but is a very dark blue metallic) with Black pack grilles, Ivory piped leather and a Wood trim.
The private registration has now been removed and is not included but will revert to BV06CKG.
Being 1st March 2006 registered, this Range Rover is ULEZ compliant and also £415 per year road tax rather than £735 per year for the slightly later versions.
Having bought the car in May 2021 with 104k miles and specifically looked for the Jaguar supercharged engine version due to arguably better reliability, I have downsized from 2 cars (daily driver and weekend toy) to 1 and am now selling having covered 25k and enjoyed every mile. These are incredibly comfortable and powerful 4x4s.
Whilst this is an 18 year old car and has travelled the equivalent of more than 5 times around the world, it is still a very good example, even the mechanics have commented on it being one of the nicer ones they have seen and maintained.
Insurance is reasonable as well and it can be covered under a future classic policy depending on your yearly mileage.
On my daily commute it will average 17 mpg which is all A and B roads and for less stop start trips, 20 mpg.
I have always run the car on super unleaded where able.
Being a Vogue SE the Rangie has a high specification including :
Touchscreen media info centre
Satnav
Harmon Kardon Logic 7 speaker system
CD Changer
Dual zone aircon (ice cold)
Heated steering wheel
Electric adjustable steering wheel
Quick clear heated windscreen
Electric front comfort seats (adjustable in more ways than I've ever known)
Drivers seat memory
Heated front and rear seats
Auto lights
Auto wipers
Auto dim mirrors
Rear DVD screens
DVD Changer
Digital TV
Sunroof
Front and rear parking sensors
Reverse camera
Central locking etc.
Whilst fitted from new, the blue-tooth and venture cam unit do not work - the latter is in it's holder. I've never had need for them so haven't investigated. The remote fobs used to work but no longer do although the car locks on central locking via the key. May be a key battery so I'll double check. There is an Overfinch badge on the car and centre caps but I have no record of what they did if anything.
The air suspension all works fine and I always lower it when parking up to aid getting in and out. Once in, it pumps straight up as you set off and stays up.
We will genuinely miss this Rangie as it's been a great family car and I am sure it will continue to be for the new owner.
The car is showing me as the 6th owner, although an earlier private plate was put on and off a couple of times and perhaps not in the usual manner to keep the ownership unchanged, so the suspicion is it is only 4 owners, either way the car has been well kept by each of us.
In my ownership the Rangie has received :
Service three times using genuine parts
Gearbox service and software update
New Lower tailgate cable
New Carpet mat set
New Passenger rear door seal (had come away)
Wheels refurbished to shadow chrome
Aircon service
New genuine Land Rover battery
New reversing camera
New suspension airbag
Roof/ headlining replaced - had started to sag slightly
New negative battery lead
New Pirelli tyres all round
Tracking
New side steps (rubber mat had lifted off the old ones and still have them)
New Colour coded wing mirror and door handle covers
New Front and rear brake discs and pads
New Rear brake callipers
New Stabiliser link
New Alternator
New centre caps (replaced like for like)
New Drivers door latch and both door latch cables - (cause of most recent MOT advisory : 'Supplementary restraint system warning lamp indicates a fault' as the silly sods didn't reset the system having disconnected and replaced the latch before presenting for the MOT!)
Brake fluid replaced
Various bulbs replaced as needed.
I've tried to include all the information I can think of but welcome any questions, thank you for looking.
