Description
Bedford TK560
This lorry is downplated to 3500kg gvw making it both tax and mot exempt.
It is fitted with the 6 cylinder 214cu petrol engine and 4 speed gearbox. The engine has been given a thorough service including a carb rebuild, oil and filter, ignition system and the oil bath air filter reconditioned, as well as a new starter motor and battery. It runs very sweetly, has plenty of power and does not smoke or use any oil or water .
The gearbox oil has also been drained and replaced which has really improved the gear change.
As I hope you can see from the photo`s the lorry is very clean and tidy. I would give the cab 6/ 10 as its solid where it needs to be, the gutters are good as is the floor but it has had welding in the past and will no doubt need more in the future due to its age so please don`t expect it to be mint, but for 50 years old neither is it rotten, I`m just being honest.
Inside is clean, tidy and dry with decent seats and a good headlining. The doors lock, there are 2 sets of keys and everything works.
The body floor has been completely stripped down and refurbished. The alloy frame has been cleaned and painted and new wood fitted. To complement this I found a period wooden box to use as a toolbox and to keep it looking correct fitted new metal rear wheel arches which were painted to match the chassis. I also had a new rear chassis crossmember made as the lorry had a step/ tow bar when I bought it, and again this has been painted to match. The sides and tailgate are removable if you wanted to use it as a flat and the dimensions of the body are 12ft 5" long by 7ft 4" wide, and the overall length of the lorry is 19ft from nose to tail.
I never intended to "restore" the lorry to any kind of show standard but wanted to make it look like it was ready for a days work. It has been thoroughly gone through and has had lots of work carried out over the last 18 months to make it safe and reliable to drive.
There is a selection of spare parts to go with it, some of which are new, including a new old stock water pump, a windscreen, three extra wheels, two brand new tyres and some tubes as well as some paint and a hub tool to help you maintain it and keep the running costs down.
The V5 and the 3500kg plating certificate are present along with a correct owners handbook for the petrol model and the original service book from when it was new as well as a file full of history and receipts.
Overall this is a tidy little wagon that`s cheap and easy to maintain and ready to drive and enjoy. It`s located in Penrith Junc 40 M6.
Any questions please don`t hesitate to ask.
£12, 000 ono with all the spares.
Thanks for looking.
