This rare 1938 rigid girder 500 MSS is in very good condition. Owned for 6 years, previously rebuilt [respray, rims etc].
Overhauled 2018 -
re-bore and new piston
top end
clutch
sprockets and chain
new carburetor
magneto rebuilt
new Alton dynamo 12v
Engine is probably not original but correct year.
I have covered 3200 miles with it virtually untouched other than regular maintenance. Cruises wonderfully in high gear.
Sadly selling due to deteriorating health. I enjoy the classic period look and substantial low down power, and the sound. Quite an eye catcher, with rigid frame and girder forks becoming quite rare. Will be a sad parting.
