1992 BMW 5 Series E34 (1989-1995) 520i

100242 Miles, Long MOT, Just Serviced, Service History and 3 Keys.

For sale is my 1992 BMW E34 520i SE Auto Touring in Alpine White. The car is very clean for its age. You can see by the photos it presents as relatively standard, includes the original BMW toolkit with all tools present and full size spare accompanied with two locking wheel nut tools.

Like many, I love a BMW Touring (having owned 3 now) and have always wanted a classic variant. This car came up for sale in February 2023 with a faulty gearbox. This presented the perfect opportunity to own one.

This car has had 11 previous owners of which I have been in contact with at least 3 of the more recent ones. I have been able to collect pictures of how the car looked throughout the years via the different owners.

Over the last 32 years the car has spent most of its time in the North. Burnley from the 90’s to early 00’s, then midlands, southeast and now resides in Bedfordshire.

Most notably the car was restored including a full respray and main mechanical parts being replaced back in 2017 (receipts to show). One of the most recent owners is a car detailer who did a video detailing it’s interior. He also ceramic coated the car which really helps keep it clean and makes maintenance washing very easy.

The service history is only present from around 50k miles (circa 2015 onwards). To which this car has been very well maintained with receipts to back it up. I have tried to create a timeline of the car’s life based on the physical records (including the MOT’s).

- The tyres all have plenty of life left in them with all showing above 5. 5mm (DOT 2421).
- Brake pads also have plenty of life but does need the pad sensor replacing, which I may do.

- End of last year the Heater Matrix was replaced.
- Engine is original, and the engine bay is to OE standard. It even features the original wax on the struts from factory.
- Small stone chip on windscreen
- Headliner sagging
- Dent on rear quarterOverall, the car is superb to drive, albeit a bit slow by modern standards it is one of the most comfortable cars I have owned it is like being on a cloud.

Gets positive attention wherever I take it and just generally makes people smile.
