Description
I have owned the van for 12 years. It is assumed it’s a weekend as it has a rear footwell with an internal cover and signs of a rear seat bottom catch plus there is additional windows in the rear of the van. There isn’t a rear bench seat supplied as it was always intended to be used for camping.
The van has a galvanised chassis, believed to be a Ken Hanna, plus the van has a towbar.
There has been extensive restoration on the van
The supporting rail that supports the floor have been replaced.
The petrol tank has been extended by approx. 5 litres.
Both wing mirrors have been replaced with new.
There is a light in the cab plus an additional light in the rear
The following Panels have been replaced,
• External rear wheel wings
• Petrol tank and spare wheel panels
• Side rails
• Sills and cab floors replaced on both sides
• Lower and upper bulkheads
• Lower windscreen panel
In addition, all 4 shock absorbers have been replaced, slotted wheels powder coated with Maxis 135 M&S tyres fitted and only covered about 800 miles since fitted. 12v socket fitted
The van has been to several 2cvgb camps this year.
Brakes have been overhauled with new discs, new twin master cylinder and brakes pipes.
The van has been rewired and installed with new fuse boxes & starter motor.
The van has been serviced with new engine oil and filter plus the gearbox oil was drained and changed.
Although it’s not needed due to the age the van has a current MOT
There are some spares, a pair of very serviceable rear doors, spare new unfinished rear bumper, the floor cover that hides the rear footwell (not needed as ply cover)
The V5C and MOT indicates the new colour which is yellow.
Declared manufacture 1973The van was purchased about 12 years ago. Since then it has been a part time project with help from friends in the 2cv world. Since the work started it has remained in the dry and it is now.
