Description
This Triumph Roadster from 1949 was owned by my father since it was 4 yrs old until now. He recently passed away and the car is now up for sale.
The car was last on the road in 2015 when it passed its MOT but then after this he became too ill to drive it.
The leather seats have been replaced and recovered all round both in the front and in the dicky seats, the wood dashboard has been stripped and varnished, carpets replaced and £1000's spent on the restoration.
It comes with another engine we believe this is the 1800 engine which was replaced with the 2000 engine we think is in the car right now. It has also the gearbox on the floor in the car which i think is the 3 speed but we have two spare gearboxes one of which has been refurbished which i think will tally with the gear selection on the column. There is also a plethora of spares from new clutch, new chromed air horns, hub caps, new radiator, new carbs. two new tyres, bills to prove all the work undertaken and he was also a long time member of the Roadster Club.
With a new battery and new fuel this car would start I am sure, the only small issue is we don't know where he has put the key but with a talented mechanic i am sure we could hot wire it. It is stored in a dry watertight garage and the only thing it really needs is a respray.
This car travelled all over Europe in the 50's and 60's and my father enjoyed it immensely but the time has come for it to go to a new home. A1 cars of this type are making £40k so grab a bargainThis car has £1000's of pounds of spares and is basically in need of a respray and a little fettling to create a gorgeous car of Bergerac fame
