Description
I bought the car around 2008 from a classic car dealer in N Yorkshire. It has had 3 owners over the last 40+ years, an older part restoration around 20 years ago, followed by a full restoration under my ownership around 10 years ago, with full body off back to bare metal respray and rebuild, and new SS quarter panels, new interior and mohair hood and tonneau cover. Garaged and kept in a 'Carcoon' air tent. Engine and running gear all solid with new SS manifold and sports exhaust fitted, along with many other parts, full new red leather interior, carpets, dash, rear seat pans, chrome parts, boot lining, spare wheel and tools, and multiple other parts fitted (all documented). Restoration and maintenance over the last 10 years by John Scott-Nelson of Murray Scott-Nelson Scarborough. I've also retained many of original parts that will also be part of the sale. This car is in very good condition and runs extremely well. Originally the Earls Court Motor Show car of 1964. Heritage certificate and file containing photos and history of the vehicle including restorations and updates. One of very few original right hand drive cars retained for the UK market. Owned for over 20 years by Autosport champion Dennis Welch and used as his own daily vehicle with a number of high end parts fitted.
