Description
Mercury Eight Sport Sedan 4 door 1950!
A very rare car in an incomparably fine condition. One of the few left in original design. Not lowered or chopped like many Mercury 1949-1951.
After all, Mercury was Ford's flagship, and this is equipped with the Ford Flathead V8 of 4. 2 liters and it runs like a dream with its 3-speed manual box with overdrive, and is fantastic to drive!
Dual exhaust system. Radial tire with wide white side. Stainless "gangster cap" from the brand Comet skyshield that gives the car a really cool look!
Everything works such as gauges, heating, fan, interior lighting.
The car has recently been serviced with oil & filter etc...
Mercury Eight is best known from the Hollywood film Rebel without a cause where it was driven by James Dean. It has become a cult favorite among car enthusiasts and collectors. The model was the most important model in the company's history.
All Mercury bodies were shared with Lincoln rather than with Ford, as had been the case since 1941. The front fascia and grill were unique to Mercury, providing instant model recognition.
It is painted in a lovely contemporary shade of beige, whitewall tires and a matching beige/ brown interior.
One of 132, 082 four-door sports sedans built for 1950, a car as attractive today as when it rolled out of the factory in 1950!
An opportunity for those looking for a solid and very good car from the early 1950s, cutely plump with the shapes in the right places!
The car costs SEK 359. 000, which corresponds to about 30. 900 Euro.
