Description

Very original example of Jaguars iconic E-Type V12 S3 Roadster with the desirable chrome wire wheels and manual gearbox. In my ownership it has had a bare metal repaint in as close to the original White as possible, this has more Cream in it than the standard Old English White. The engine was reputedly rebuilt in the states, and looking at various things on it and how it runs I have no reason to doubt this. Front and rear suspension have been stripped and rebuilt, stainless exhaust fitted, brand new chrome wire wheels, spinners and tyres fitted, front and rear brakes rebuilt, new aluminium Rad and cooling fans, carbs rebuilt, new electronic ignition to replace the old Opus system, nearly all of the chrome has been replated, new Mohair hood, hood frame painted and restored, new regulator, alternator overhauled, along with other bits and pieces. The Russet coloured interior is predominantly original with just the drivers cushion having been retrimmed. Has the original Blaupunkt radio still fitted which I had converted to play devices through it. It is very nice on the body with no signs of any rust anywhere. It starts everytime with a turn of the key even after sitting for several months, and has good oil pressure and holds water with no issues. It is a very nice, presentable and usable and gets a lot of positive comments when I do go out in it. Have attended quite a lot of shows in it where it gets a lot of interest. I have owned this car since 2016 which is when I imported it from a friend of mine in America. I particularly went for this one as it was pretty much described as being totally original and virtually rot free with all it's original panels still fitted. I have had the front floor sections replaced but that is the extent of any remedial metal work. According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate it was actually built in 1973. It has it's original jack, service book, hand book and radio book along with lots of invoices paperwork and current V5.
Only reason for sale as struggling to get in and out due to health issue.
Possibly take a Jag MK2 or 3. 0 Ford Capri in part exchange.
