Description
Morris minor 1000 original convertible 1969 H reg, snowberry white, 92000 miles, original 1098cc engine. Low ownership - I've owned it 14 years, prior to me it was in same family ownership since 1977! This is an older restoration to a very high standard about 21 years ago so although still looks very presentable does show, if you'll excuse the pun, some minor blemishes. Chassis is solid with some small welding repairs carried out in the past to a high standard - it was waxoyled about 2 years ago.
Engine compartment is excellent with some components chromed!
Exterior chrome is excellent with the exception of 1 hockey stick.
Upholstery is very good - front seats are, I think, Newton commercial - rear seat is the original.
Mechanically car is excellent with responsive engine & smooth gearbox & clutch. It has electronic ignition system & also a Laserline immobiliser.
Braking system is very good, it was overhauled very recently including new master cylinder.
There is folder of invoices showing how much has been spent on various new parts over the years.
To summarise, this is an extremely tidy example of an original minor convertible with MAT chassis number - rare being an H reg as only about 170 Morris convertibles came out of Cowley in 1969 - the last year of convertible production.
