Triumph 750 T140V Bonneville 1977
Imported from the USA in 2018. Sympathetic restoration including powder coated frame and engine re-bore in 2020 by previous owner at 11, 320 miles.
V5 is in my name with one former keeper and is registered as a Historic vehicle so it's Tax and MOT exempt.
Mileage is 12, 717 miles. Matching engine and frame numbers.
Its a five speed left hand gear change model styled to look like the earlier 650s so no bulky air boxes.
Generally in excellent condition with some age related patina. Starts easily and runs well.
Fitted with a seven plate clutch conversion, Kiehin 30 PWK twin carbs, Boyer ignition, solid state rectifier/ regulator and cannister type oil filter to vastly improve reliability. The 'Armour' 2 into 1 stainless exhaust was fitted in 2021 and sounds great without being overly loud.
Good chain, tyres and sprockets. De-chromed original discs cross drilled so it now brakes well in both wet and dry road conditions. Oil and filter changed less than 100 miles ago.
Stainless braided hoses, Stainless Master cylinders.
Bike is fitted with new smaller rear sprocket to lower revs.
Exhausts headers converted to push-on type with custom clamps.
Ideal bike to show at events or just tootle out in the countryside. Lots and lots of receipts for parts including wheel bearings, brake pads, exhaust system, etc,.
