Description

Restored and modified original UK Right Hand drive to fast road specification. There is not a gramme of rust on this machine. I had it sprayed in the original factory metallic blue and it resides in a heated dry garage all year round.

The car was one of the very last ever 240Z's made in 1973 before the transition to 260Z.

It's done 828 miles since nut and bolt restoration (mileage may increase slightly until sold).

Some but not all of the features:

- 3. 0 Litre Stroker engine by Eiji from Datsun Spirit in the USA lightweighted balanced and flowed with triple webers making it very revvy and very torqey. This engine is a beast when you want it to be, but can still be driven in traffic. Timing is fully adjustable with Kameari Adjustable Cam Pulley Sprocket Gear. Carbs setup by Clive Atthow in Norwich on the rolling Road. I've no idea what the HP is and don't really care much for paper numbers, but it's pretty impressive being a 3. 0L stroker. You can Google the engine builder Eiji Hosomi at Datsun Spirit USA. Parts are balanced to within fractions of a gram.

- Recent Quaife limited slip diff which has transformed handling especially on launch and is much stronger than the R180 mod.
- Recent CV joint upgrade which has made power delivery a lot smoother than the original UJ's.
- Gearbox reconditioned and still a little stiff but it's gradually loosening up as it should.
- Slightly widened track but without the ugly arch mod.
- Brand new front fenders apparently the last from Nissan.
- Chassis stiffened up for rally or track without affecting the look of the bay almost invisible.
- GAZ Suspension.
- Upgraded brakes by Fourways.
- Band new interior leather and linings.
- Stainless steel exhaust with Zircotech ceramic coated headers and louvered bonnet flaps to keep things cool.
- Alu radiator with electric fan, and electric fuel pump.
- Seats retrimmed with new leather and the interior headlining and plastic bits have been replaced with new.
- Bad dog frame rails added which have really stiffened up the car to handle the power, plus some small reinforcements were made on the advice of the late Geoff from Fourways similar to rally prep but more or less invisible.
- Corners like it's on rails, anti rollbar, slightly but not excessively widened track, etc. The idea was to create a fast road or track day vehicle with a "classic feel" naturally aspirated engine, more power but without marring the original look of these wonderful cars. The engine sounds fantastic, is very revvy, and it draws a lot of attention at shows around here.

I'm selling it because I'm now interested in getting a Riley pre-war special. I'd prefer to sell this privately to a fellow enthusiast who understands how much money I have spent on this car, and would be happy to answer any questions by email. However if a dealer wants to pay a reasonable price for it, I'm open to offers. An engine of this specification alone will easily cost you 20K if not more.

Thanks for looking.
