1987 BMW 5 Series E28 (1982-1988) 528i

This is an honest advert, the car is not perfect and has been off the road for 15+ years so could do with a full restoration but does start and drive. Not enough time or expertise to restore myself unfortunately. Will need to be trailered away, I can deliver a reasonable distance for fuel money.

Good bits:
- Plenty of service history from when it was on the road
- Done oil service, coolant flush and fuel filter before starting this year
- New springs on front, rears come with the car
- Engine starts easily everytime
- classic BMW in rare spec
- 3 years away from free tax and no mot requirement

Modified bits:
- lowered springs
- induction kit
- non-origional BMW wheels
- Home made exhaust (sounds great)

Areas for improvement (bad bits):
- Has vinyl peal on bonnet, patches on the roof
- couple of bits of surface rust but nothing structural that I can see
- believe exhaust manifold to engine seal has gone (likely other seals need replacing too)
- Interior was stripped out at one point but have now reinstalled, just missing a couple of trim pieces
- can't get into boot (lock stuck)
- key access to drivers door broken (still works on central locking via passenger)
- common split dash
- many components may need changing due to age and length of time off road

Will consider reasonable offersThis is a 1987 2. 8 litre petrol BMW E28. I have been considering putting this up for sale for a few years and when searching for a price to market it at I have struggled to find anything else with the 2. 8 engine and a manual. For someone who has the time and the skill set this could easily be a £15k+ car and only continue to increase in value.

It has an unmistakable shape and presence on the road. The interior is refined with super comfy seats and even a few mod cons like electric windows. It's been modified a bit, I think it looks good slightly lowered and the exhaust sounds awesome!
