I am only the second owner of this car. It was built to the following specifications by Peter Smith for his wife and I purchased it in March 2013.
Prepared to fast road specification with originally an Avonbar 1400cc engine replaced in 2014 with a full race specification engine built by S. H. Engineering (Bromsgrove Worcs.) to 1380 cc in a new 11 stud block with a 276 cam, vernier duplex timing gear, turbo crank, steel centre cap, Mini Speed 11 stud stage 3 big valve head, high lift roller rocker assembly, fully balanced, 10. 5 to 1 compression , Weber 45 DCOE carburettor, mounted on a Jack Knight straight cut 4 speed gearbox. Short shift gear lever. S/ Steel exhaust long branch manifold. S radiator with electric fan, competition front discs, S servo, coil over shocks front with adjustable tie rods, rose jointed, for full chamber/ castor adjustment. Cross beam rear axle with coil over shocks, Mini Fin alloy drums. 5 x 10-inch GB alloy wheels fitted with Dunlop SP Sport R7 tyres. Twin fuel tanks, leather trimmed interior by Wood and Picket (London), folding fabric roof. A real performance car.
Just spent £2, 000 plus on bodywork. Now fully sound with MOT till February 2025. Morris Mini Cooper
