Description
Triumph Pre-Unit 650 custom bobber - with all the right bits.
All triumph frame (1960 T100 frame), Triumph hardtail (1953?) and not aftermarket as most are, Triumph OIL 1970's wheels, brakes and forks.
Engine is a 650cc T110 from 1954, with desirable T120 alloy head, recently rebuilt and running smoothly and starting first kick after 100+ miles to sort out any teething issues.
The minimal 6v wiring runs through the frame to the headlight and contained in the box under the seat feeding the 'handlebar' switch for lights & horn, also under seat. This makes a super simple and clean handle bar set up.
The wheels are freshly rebuilt with alloy rims and new tyres.
The frame is powder coated gloss black and the tank / rear mudguard are in a metallic burnt orange and is flawless.
All alloy parts were professionally polished.
Please note the transferrable number plate is worth approx £3k on its own
. The bike is more comfortable than you might expect and is surprisingly quick (it doesn't weigh much!!) and has been much admired and appreciated.
Built in 2021/ 2022 by myself from the frame up, it was previously an 80's style bobber/ chopper and I've kept the tiger head artwork as a mark to its past.
I'm biased, but pre-unit Triumph bobbers are as cool as it gets!! and equal to any Harley panhead or shovelhead bobber and much easier to start and doesn't vibrate.
It was shown at the Bike Shed show in 2023.
