Description
A rare chance to buy a professionally restored vintage bike (Sammy Miller Workshop) and the price asked is his valuation. It is difficult to know a value for a vintage bike in Concours "as new" condition. It is likely the valuation has priced it too high so I offer it a a lower bargain price... A chance also for you to make me an offer please if you think you have a fairer price! It will probably buy you the motorbike as my riding days are coming to an end and I like to think this bike is going to a good home. This bike is 'as mechanically good as the day it came out of the factory' and will last any new owner countless years of riding fun on a lovely vintage machine.
Was a display model and unused until this year so only done a few hundred miles. Successfully run in the the SMCC Graham Walker event at Beaulieu in August and was a real joy to ride. Connaughts are rare and this was fitted with the reliable 350cc Blackburne engine, Burman 3 Speed Gearbox, and Amac Carburettor. It is as well presented and perfect as if straight from the factory all those years ago. Note the whiskers are still on the new tyres! It is probably one of the best vintage motor cycles you will ever find. Bought it from deceased estate sale with limited information available and was astonished to see it had been unused and kept in on display in the owners sitting room after he had paid for a complete rebuild and restoration back to concours condition. It is a unique as an almost unused vintage motorcycle and a rare make too. Connaught ceased motorbike production in the late twentys but resurrected as makers of high class sports cars and even racing cars in the post war years. One of their racing models won the Motor Racing World Championship in the early 1950's. Still examples of their classy cars come up for sale but at high prices!
