For Sale – my mint, panther black 2002 (51 plate) Fiesta Zetec S. 1 full year of MOT, currently on SORN, covered in a secure dry garage.
I had one of these cars (in imperial blue) many years ago from when they were nearly new and loved every minute of ownership. Back in 2017 I had a hankering for another one and this one came up (after looking at many rotten pears) and this was too good to pass up.
A rare sight on the roads now, especially with such low mileage, low owners, full history and condition. These cars are appreciating and will only appreciate, as they get rarer and rarer.
57300k miles, 2 previous owners prior to myself. The first 9 months being a Ford Management car in Guernsey, the 2nd owner purchased in 2002 and owned until I bought the car in 2017.
There is an extensive history with the car, as can be seen in the photos, every receipt and MOT certificate is present since new – even the original sales receipt in 2002 is in the folder, accompanied by the original book pack, keys and key tags.
Anything that this car has ever wanted for, she has been given with the bonus that the vast majority of that was carried out at the local ford dealer from where the car originated. She drives like new, very responsive and great fun to drive. No expense has been spared on this car. She’s been cherished continuously over the last 22 years, always garaged. For peace of mind, the camshaft belt and water pump has been replaced recently, as was one of the ABS sensors. A new clutch was fitted in 2017 prior to my ownership by the Ford dealer.
As can be seen from the MOT history online, any fails have been due to minor items, most importantly never down to any corrosion or welding being required.
Specification wise, she has the usual Zetec S items but has the added extra of (working) air conditioning that blows perfectly chilled air. I have added in a Ghia style interior light which gives the added extra of the map reading lights.
The interior is standard, as it left the factory in near showroom order. The original 2 tone steering wheel was starting to wear when I bought the car, nothing as severe as some you see online, so I bought a spare leather trimmed wheel and sent it off to Royal Steering Wheels who retrimmed it in the two tone colours, but asked them to trim the full circumference of the wheel in leather rather than leaving the basic plastic at 12 and 6 o clock positions. The original is stored away. The original, rare leather trimmed gear knob is still fitted and in excellent condition. There is a very rare genuine Ford rubber boot mat in the boot, as well as the genuine Ford carpet (fitted) and rubber mat sets to cover all seasons (stored away)! The Ford CD6000 is present, and operational in its correct silver facia matching the car’s interior.
Exterior wise, she is as she left the factory and her panther black paintwork is pristine, no dents, dings, scuffs or rust. All 4 x wheels were recently refurbished (purely to enhance them – not due to kerbing or damage) c/ w new genuine Ford aluminium centre caps. All 4 x tyres have been replaced in the last few years with Pirelli (on the front) and Michelin Pilot (on the rear) tyres. The car benefits from a full stainless OC motorsport exhaust which is as close to the standard one as possible.
Common areas/ issues such as badges flaking/ tarnishing and the rear window caps rusting are not an issue on this car, a bonus when replacements are getting harder to find all the time.
The underside of the car benefitted from a restoration in 2018 as a precaution to preserve the life of the car and for show purposes – as can be seen from the pictures of the underside, it is factory fresh and has had the main components replaced, wax oiled and powder coated, again for show purposes. Whilst this was being carried out a new fuel pump, tank, fuel lines, shock absorbers and brake hoses were fitted as well as a full stainless Piper exhaust system.
I cannot stress enough that nothing needs to be done to this car, as everything to the smallest of detail is pristine.
This car must be seen to be believed, she is mint, and everything operates as it is meant to.
I genuinely believe you’d struggle to find a better example that this one, and that’s she’s one of the best Zetec S’s out there, hence the price I am looking for here. A cliché I know, but if she doesn’t sell for what I’m looking for it’s no hardship for me to keep hold of her.
Genuine reason for sale, I’m not getting the time to use and show her as I’d like so looking to give someone the chance to use, show and cherish as much as I have.
