For sale is a road legal Honda RC164 replica. In the 1960's Honda entered the iconic four and six cylinder factory race bikes into the world championships. This is a replica of the four cylinder RC164 race bike, or could be made into a replica of the RC750 bike as entered into the Daytona 200.
It is based on a 1983 Honda CB750 frame, so now MOT and tax exempt, with a CB550, 4 cylinder, overhead cam, air cooled engine. It’s fitted with four Molkt carburetors with aluminum trumpets.
It has a custom made exhaust with removeable baffles, custom made tank and seat unit.
Last year the bike had a lot of work carried out, including a custom made wiring loom with waterproof Deutsch connectors, new battery, fuse box and switch gear. New chain and sprocket kit, full service, battery relocation under the seat, carburetor balancing, second hand original gauges were fitted and the top yolk was modified to remove the factory handlebar mounts. Unlike most replica bikes this bike is fully road legal with a V5 and the loom has the provision for lights and indicators if required. It sounds fantastic when running, a video is available on request
The has been sitting for a while so will require some minor cosmetic tlc but it starts and rides well.
