Welcome to the sell of my Eunos Roadster or mazda mx5 as known in the UK.
This is a December 1989 Tokyo production. It has all documentation from Japan along with all service history. Everything this car has had in its 36 years of existence is documented from all 3 UK owners. First owner was a mx5 enthusiast and had originally brought from a garage who deals in Japanese imports. She had for many years and then sold to another mx5 owners Club enthusiast who had the car over 12 years. Both owners had only used in dry conditions and was always garaged.
I bought the car back in 2022 and I have loved every minute. I now would like to sell this to add funds to buy the ultimate mk1 Rs.
I have only done about 3000km in 2. 5 years and the car runs like a dream.
The car Is used only for shows and the odd day out with my 8 year old daughter.
In the time I've had it the only thing I have done is put a set of very sought after pro back seats in with custom runners from a lotous elise. This was a must as it sits you much lower in the cockpit.
After a lot of consideration and research, I took my car for a full turbo conversion from the best guys in the business. 'MTECH' from westbury in Wiltshire had built me a full turbo conversion. This will come with the car but I have every part still available so if turbos are not your thing, it can be put back to a standard car within a few hours.
The A/ C was also kept and reconfigured to work with the gasses they use today. MTECH wanted to strip out but I insisted it had to be kept genuine, It cost a lot more money but I feel the new buyer will be happy with the results.
I encourage anyone that is considering to buy a mx5 to take a look, you won't be disappointed. Its alot of money but considering the turbo conversion was nearly 5k the seats £1200.
The car is in outstanding condition inside and out. No welding, no rust, no dents and no scratches. It's 36 years old and looks like it came out the showroom 2 years ago.
I have also updated all lights to led so the car stands out from a crowd, I like to be seen and to see infront of me, the mx5 in 1989 didn't have the best lights so I felt this was a safey issue. I still of course have all the bulbs and nothing has been cut or tampered. Mot is due very soon but happy to put a new one on for the ownerFull service history from the day it was registered in this country in 2008. It also has full service history from Japan if you can read Japanese
